Competitions entry guidelines

At WinStuff, we pride ourselves in delivering only the best resources for online competitions. There are however a few things to consider when you enter in any competition online so please read through our entry guideline below.

Personal information

When entering competitions you may in some case be required to enter your personal information such as name, email address etc. Take note which fields are marked as required since it may not be necessary to fill in all the requested details to be accepted into the draw. Also pay attention to ticked check boxes which will upon entry either subscribe you to a newsletter or give permission to receive promotional material from that company. Unless stated in the terms and conditions in most cases, you do not need to subscribe.

Terms and conditions

Always read the terms and conditions of the competitions you enter. In some cases you may not be eligible to enter at all. We do our best to find competitions that are open to all South Africans, but from time to time restrictions are in place. The terms and conditions should state clearly what the prize on offer is, who the sponsor of the prize is, the start and closing date and how the winner will be announced.

Take note of the competitions you enter

We’ve received many request in the past about who the winners of competitions we posted on WinStuff were. It is impossible for us to track this and it is up to the entrant to follow-up with the company offering the competition when the campaign has ended. Taking note of the competitions you enter also serves another purpose. There are many scams out there and it is a commonly used tactic to send messages to unsuspecting people informing them that they have won in a competition, hoping to get personal information from the victim. If you do not keep track of the competitions you enter into, you may fall victim to these fraudsters.
